What you buy

You buy a direction, not a handful of images.

Most brands pay for a few finished pictures and run out. Direction Kit gives you the direction behind them: clear visual guidelines, references chosen for your brand, and a mini brand world. You use it to make your own images, in your own AI tools, whenever you need them.

The references are deliberately varied, so you are not stuck on one look. You pick the ones that feel most like your brand and generate from there. What you make stays recognisably yours.

Who it is for

For the people who keep the brand looking like itself.

You want your brand to look like a real brand across every channel, without a studio on call for every post. You are the one who decides the look, and keeping it coherent, day after day, is the part that falls on you.

  • You are a founder running the brand yourself. You post, you generate, you improvise, and the feed ends up looking like three different brands.
  • You have a few people around you, not a creative team. A freelancer on graphics, someone on influencer campaigns, a hand on brand management, but no one whose whole job is a steady flow of on-brand images.
  • You already shoot, and you want a bigger say in the result. You would rather come to a studio with a point of view of your own and shape what you get, than hand the look over and hope it lands.

It is not for you if you need a finished packaging shot or hero image that has to be believed today, or a full campaign guaranteed to hold together. That is studio work, and we will point you to it.

The alternatives, honestly

What you would do instead.

Prompt it yourself

Fast, but it drifts off-brand and looks like everyone else.

A cheap gig or a template pack

Generic, and it never really looks like your product.

A one-off freelance batch

Nice images you use once, with nothing reusable behind them.

A full studio shoot

The right call when the product has to be believed, at studio budgets, and more than you need for everyday content.

Direction Kit sits in the gap. A real direction you own, so what you generate stays yours and stays on-brand.

What's inside

See what a Direction Kit actually looks like.

Here is a real example, built for a brand we invented so you can see the actual pieces. Your kit is built the same way, around one hero product and your look: 13 to 15 curated references, a product master in 4 to 5 clean views, and 3 signature brand-world scenes.

Sample brand Núbe, a cloud serum we invented for this page.
01

Brand-locked guidelines

Your look, written down. The four levers that make an image read as yours, plus the words your AI tools need to stay on it. This is the grammar everything else follows.

Defining the look
Núbe
LightBright Mediterranean daylight, warm sun, defined shadows.
PaletteMint teal, slate blue, warm cream, a coral accent.
Surface & texturesFrosted glass, whitewashed walls, terracotta, water and sunlit skin, soft film grain.
CompositionLifestyle and studio, off-center by default, generous negative space.
Tone: editorial, sunny, nostalgic, authentic, a little bold.  Retro Mediterranean, shot on film.
02

Clean product master

Your real product, cut out by hand in Photoshop, or photographed by us as studio masters for the highest fidelity. Not an AI lookalike, your actual product, ready to drop into every generation so what comes out resembles the real thing, not a generic stand-in.

Side profile of the Núbe serum bottle on white
The Núbe serum bottle held in a hand to establish its real scale

Four clean views, covering shape, label and scale. The more clean angles the generators get, the more they have to work with.

03

Curated references

A set chosen for your brand, deliberately varied across studio, lifestyle and texture so you are never stuck on one single look. Use them as they are, or as seeds to generate your own variations from them.

People, texture and all, this is close to the ceiling of an AI-only kit. It is yours to use as you see fit. The honest part: the more an image has to be touched and believed for real, the more a studio production earns its place. More on that just below.

Made for you, from our own references. The references are Orange Lab originals, generated with a licensed tool. Your product master is not generated: it is a real photograph, your own or shot in our studio. And when we generate, we never use another author's work as a reference, so your images are not built on someone else's. That is the cleanest pipeline we can offer, and our commitment to keeping your kit original.

04

A mini brand world

A few signature scenes your brand can live in: the setting, the surfaces, the props. A repeatable world to place your product into, so every image feels like it belongs to the same brand.

An optional assistant, set up for your brand. It writes prompts that hold your look fixed and guides the choices that change from shot to shot.

Runs inClaude CodeCodex

It turns a vague idea into a precise visual instruction, holds your look fixed, makes variations, and adapts each image to the right channel.

An optional bonus, with a step-by-step setup guide. Never a hurdle.
Studio Masters

Your product master sets what is possible.

Everything you generate is built from your product master. The cleaner and more real that master is, the more your references and your own generations hold on to the real product. It is the single biggest lever on quality, so we give you two ways to set it.

Default

We clean up your own photos

You send a clear product photo and we cut it out on a clean background. That becomes the master behind every reference, so the fidelity follows what you are able to shoot on your side.

Optional upgrade

Studio Masters

Ship us the product and we photograph proper studio masters from several angles. You keep those real photos to use directly where a clean packshot is needed, a product page or a marketplace listing, and they give the AI far more to work from.

We quote it separately, depending on the product complexity and the number of shots. Just tell us at intake.

Either way, the references we send and those you generate stay AI, honest for everyday and mid-stakes use. The studio masters themselves are real photographs, licensed for your everyday brand channels like any studio production.

How you use it

Open, pick, generate, and do it again.

Direction Kit is not a fixed handful of images. It is a direction you generate from, whenever you need something new.

03

Prompt Director

The hard part is the prompt.

Prompt Director does it with you. It is a brand-locked assistant you run inside your own AI tool, set up for your brand, and it handles the part most people get wrong. No coding involved: you add it once with the setup guide, then just chat.

It makes the decisions with you, not for you

It asks you the few choices that matter, then turns a vague idea like make it feel warm and premium into a precise visual instruction, with the light, the surfaces and the framing spelled out. It translates generic language into clear, unambiguous visual language your AI tool can actually follow.

It runs on our shoot method

Prompt Director is built on the same method we use to turn an idea into a real shoot, the engine behind Make It Brief. Part of the thinking behind an Orange Lab shoot, now in your hands.

Beyond content

Use it to plan a real shoot.

Direction Kit is also how you decide what a shoot should look like before you pay for one. Build a moodboard from your references, turn your signature scenes into a shot list, and brief a photographer with a clear picture instead of a vague idea.

You walk into the shoot knowing what you want. If you would rather we take it from there, we can turn your kit into a full shoot brief and produce it with you.

Your references and scenes become a real shoot plan, so you brief a photographer with a picture, not a guess.
Where Direction Kit sits

Three levels, sorted by what the image has to prove.

You are here Level 1 · AI-only Direction Kit

A frame you generate from yourself, for presence and everyday on-brand content. This is the product on this page.

This page
Level 2 · AI-first Directed AI

Directed AI production, curated and finished by Orange Lab, when a campaign has to feel coherent and considered.

Studio production
Level 3 · Photo-first Real production

A real production, for when the product has to feel real and credibility carries the image: food, packaging, labels, hero shots, texture, movement.

Studio production

What each level is strong at, on a scale of five. The direction is Orange Lab either way, what changes is the trade-off.

*This is the cost to get started, where the kit clearly wins. The cost per usable shot is another story: a real shoot with models or a location can hand you so many good frames to pick from that it works out cheaper per shot, while with the kit you re-run the ones that come out wrong and still get an image, not a real photo. What the image has to prove still decides.

What it is not

Honest about where a kit stops.

A kit is a frame you generate everyday content from yourself. When an image has to carry real weight, a real production is worth its price. Three cases where you should call the studio, not the kit.

The product has to be believed

AI gives you a likeness, not your actual product. A real shoot is the product itself, not a version of it.

It has to hold together as a campaign

Across every touchpoint, each frame built for its role. The kit gives you the direction; a production also executes every frame.

The stakes and the lifespan are high

A quick image keeps a feed alive. A hero asset anchors a launch and lives for a year, so it earns a real shoot.

The question is always what the image has to prove. Day to day, the kit is enough. When it is not, we will tell you. We would rather point you to the right level than sell you the wrong one.
